Reconditioned Airsep Intensity 10LPM High Pressure Oxygen Concentrator

The Airsep Intensity is a very affordable,  and extremely reliable 10 LPM in home - stationary oxygen concentrator unit that is “MADE IN AMERICA “ in Buffalo, NY.

Weighing in at only 52 pounds, it is a tall, slender unit that fits into most any space. It has a built in rugged handle on the top of the machine, easy to use hand grips on the sides, and features four large caster wheels which allows for ease of movement and mobility.

Intensity is AirSep's high pressure/high flow oxygen concentrator, especially designed to power special respiratory applications. This concentrator can replace the need for external compressors, etc. NewLife Intensity can save on equipment needs and overall power consumption as well. You can easily use this Oxygen Concentrator to push your Oxygen through long lengths of tubing such as if you lived in a Ranch style home.

Operating at 22 psig (138 kPa), with up to 10 LPM single or optional combined dual flow capability, Intensity was the first concentrator to enable both high pressure and high flow in one unit.

All units can be equipped with or without oxygen monitor to verify concentration.

This Oxygen Concentrator has an adjustable flow meter which ranges from .5 LPM to 10 LPM that is adjustable in ½  LPM increments which can accommodate the various needs of most oxygen end users. The adjustable flow meter is also recessed into the body of the concentrator so as to minimize the potential for damage to the flow meter.

The Airsep Intensity is designed to reliably deliver 87% to 93% oxygen purity levels while in operation at any setting.

The Intensity is very energy efficient and economical to operate as is uses on average only 410 watts of power. The advanced design of the Thomas compressor allows the Airsep Intensity to run quiet, cooler and uses less electricity therefore saving the user from incurring higher energy bills.

This Oxygen Concentrator will provide you with several years of safe, reliable and trouble free service and is designed to operate effortlessly and efficiently on a 24/7 basis.

The sound level of the Airsep Intensity is only 48dbA  and is significantly quieter than earlier models of oxygen concentrators which were louder, heavier and cumbersome.

The maintenance for the Airsep Intensity Oxygen Concentrator is exceptionally minimal and designed to be easy to maintain. Once a week you will remove and rinse the foam filter located at the rear of the machine. Let it air dry before reinstalling it. Replace as needed. Every two years you will need to replace the internal Bacteria filter.

The filter replacement can be done very easily by removing the side panels and rear panel of the Concentrator. Set them to the side. Locate the bacteria filter that is positioned behind the Oxygen Outlet. Remove the filter from the tubing and dispose of it. Install the new filter, reinstall the cabinet pieces, and you are done! The total time for this should take no more than ten minutes. A flat bad screw driver is required to unscrew the case.

The Airsep Intensity is available with a humidifier bottle option, that is used with distilled water only. This humidification moistens the high purity oxygenated air so that it minimizes the discomfort to the patients nose and throat from the air being to dry. The humidifier bottle sits in a recessed area, to minimize the possibility of breakage.

This oxygen concentrator is designed for home settings or at any location where a long life stationary unit can be used which operates on 120 VAC and 60 HZ.

The concentrator should never be used in conjunction with extension cords, power strips or surge protectors as it will interfere with the proper operation and potentially cause the concentrator to overheat or have other operational issues.

Low Purity Sensor

Airsep Intensity OCI (Oxygen Concentration Indicator) is an optional feature available for the Airsep Intensity Oxygen Concentrator. The built in OCI sensor ultrasonically measures the purity of output oxygen, to ensure that a safe oxygen level is always maintained while the Oxygen Concentrator is running. If the output of the Oxygen Concentrator drops below 87%, the green "normal" light will switch to a yellow "low o2" light will turn on. The Oxygen Concentrator will provide a visual and audible alarm to indicate that there is an unsafe condition. The user should contact OxygenPlus Customer Service to facilitate repairs or replacement of the machine.

Cleaning  of the Airsep Intensity Oxygen Concentrator

Periodically, you will want to clean the exterior of your Oxygen Concentrator to keep it looking as well as it runs. It is important that you unplug the machine while cleaning it. Using a damp cloth, gently wipe the exterior of the machine. Using cleaning tools such as cotton swabs is perfectly okay, to clean the hard to reach areas. If using a medical disinfectant, make sure to follow all manufacturers instructions. Let the machine air dry before operation, as excess moisture may impare the proper operation of the device.

How does an oxygen concentrator work?
An Oxygen Concentrator is an electrical piece of equipment. You plug it in to the wall outlet of your home. Make sure it has at least 6 inches of room all around it to allow ample air flow. When you turn the machine on, it will bring in air from the room around it. First, the air passes through a couple of filters to clean the air before it enters the compressor. Once inside, the compressor will pump the air into a pair of Sieve Beds. Once the Sieve Beds are pressurized, the material inside called Zeolite will cling on to the Nitrogen, and pass on the Oxygen and other trace gasses to the patient. Every ten to twelve seconds, the internal Valves will switch the air from one Sieve Bed to the other. This produces a rhythmic "breathing" sound from your Oxygen Concentrator, and is normal. During the breathing of your Oxygen Concentrator, the Nitrogen that was in the Sieve Bed is released back in to the rooms atmosphere. Oxygen Concentrators are designed to run 24 hours a day, seven days a week if needed.

What percentage of oxygen does an Oxygen Concentrator deliver?
Oxygen Concentrators are designed to reliably deliver 90% oxygen +/- 3% at any flow rate. This purity has been tested to be clinically acceptable for long-term oxygen therapy.

How often should I clean filters and other accessories?
If equipped, the foam Cabinet Filter on your Oxygen Concentrator should be rinsed in your sink every week. Let it air dry before placing back in the Oxygen Concentrator. The bubble humidifier should be washed daily using a mild detergent and hot water. Tubing, Cannulas, etc are not to be cleaned. Simply dispose of and replace as needed.

Can I purchase a Low Flow (Pediatric) meter for my Oxygen Concentrator?
Most Oxygen Concentrators can be ordered with, or retrofit with a Pediatric Flor Meter. Please call for availability.

What length of Oxygen Tubing can I use with my Oxygen Concentrator?
The maximum recommendation is not to exceed a Bubble Humidifier, a 50 foot long extension hose, and a 7 foot long Nasal Cannula

How can I transport an Oxygen Concentrator in the car?
The optimum way to transport an Oxygen Concentrator is to buckle it in to the back seat, or place it on the rear floor of your vehicle. If necessary, you can safely lay it on it's back in the trunk if it is securely held in place.

Can I use my Oxygen Concentrator overseas?
The Oxygen Concentrators listed on this site are made specifically for US Voltage requirements, which is 110 Volts and 60Hz

What is Turn Down technology?
This Oxygen Concentrator incorporates Turn Down technology. The internal Circuit Board constantly monitors the flow rate and will slow down the compressor at lower Flow Rates. As a result the unit runs cooler and less power is consumed. In turn, you will have a lower power bill, and the Oxygen Concentrator should run longer.

How can I tell if the oxygen purity is good?
If equipped with a Low Purity Sensor, as long as the Green LED light is illuminated, you know that the Oxygen Concentrator is making at least 85% purity Oxygen. If for any reason the Purity falls below therapeutic levels, the Yellow LED light will illuminate. Contact your provider if you notice this.

Works fine. Very low noise level.

This machine doing exactly what I need. Mine is not a medical need. I blow glass and make neon signs and art and this machine supplies oxygen to make my fires burn hot enough that I can work borosilicate (Pyrex) glass. Completely satisfied. It is a very quiet machine. Most glass shops are awful with numerous old fashioned blowers and vacuum pumps shaking down the roof. This machine got rid of most of the air blowers and the next will rid me of all my blowers.

    Works but is well used.

I ordered a used 8 lpm unit and it was shipped in 3 weeks and it works fine. It is quite a bit noisier than expected so I have to run a long tubing to my cpap at night so my wife can sleep. I don’t know how long they last but my machine came with 30,000 hrs on it.

Thank you for your order, and your PATIENCE during this pandemic! It surely has us pretty busy and we are very thankful that our customers are so understanding! This particular machine has a "life cycle" of about 8-10 thousand hours until it will need to be rebuilt again. The good news is that you can keep rebuilding it over and over again! We have recently seen some machines of a different make and model with 99 thousand hours! We had to replace the hour meter because the original would run out of digits!
